UND women's hockey fans will have a chance to win a free semester's worth of tuition during the home game this Friday.
This is the second time in the past year and a half that the university has decided to give away the prize to encourage students to support UND's sporting events. At the first home football game this past year, the same prize was given out.
Ralph Engelstad Arena Senior Marketing Coordinator Alex Kringen has now come up with a new way to promote the "much improved girl's hockey team," he said.

Kringen says the opportunity to support the team is exciting. "I am proud at how much they have improved," he said. "They are a different team from last year, and are playing so well."
Organizers are hoping to improve the attendance to these games. "We would like to drive the attendance, to get the students to the women's games too, which are just as competitive and fun to watch" Kringen said.

The chance to win free tuition is open only to current UND students. Student ticket buyers will be entered into a raffle, and a random drawing done at the game will choose the winner.
Students need to be present at the game during the drawing in order to be eligible to win.

Kringen says that everyone should come out and support UND sporting events anyways.

"I encourage everyone to come and watch the girls play," he said. "They have improved so much and are doing so well."
The game time is set for 7:07 p.m. this Friday at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.

Tickets are available for the Sioux women's hockey games at the arena and the Chester Fritz. They are free to all UND students with a valid student ID.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this game for a chance to win the free tuition, but also to support the women's hockey team.

Yet a 4.0 and working your ass off gets you not a single damn penny from UND, only the Foundations. Glad UND has its priorities in place for what it wants its students to aspire to. (Continued…)
