Rough outing in conference meet
Despite a very positve season the softball team was unable to tally a win.
After a brief, game winning stint at home, UND Fighting Sioux softball has given up a trifecta of losses to The University of South Dakota.
The Coyotes defense has overwhelmed the Sioux for the last three games and the women have only been able to score three runs total.
Men compete at Al Cassel relays, nearly sweep distance events
UND continues to perform at a high level as they near the conference meet.
UND men's track and field traveled to Jamestown Saturday for the Al Cassel Relays and competed against several familiar faces including Concordia-Moorhead, Minnesota State University Moorhead and Dickinson State.
The men almost swept the distance events by winning first and second in the 1500 meter run and winning the 5000 meter run.
Golfers compete in final meet
The men's team placed fourth in the Great Western Golf Championships.
Just as Ray Richards Golf is opening up its doors for the year the Fighting Sioux Men's Golf team has already completed their final meet of the season.
On April 20th the golf team took to the prestigious Sienna Plantation Golf Club to compete in the three round Great Western Golf Championships.
Walk off homerun
The Fighting Sioux baseball team strung together two wins in a doubleheader last week.
Despite the cold Friday afternoon weather at Kraft Field in Grand Forks, the Sioux baseball team swung some hot bats.
North Dakota swept the visiting Dakota Wesleyan team in a doubleheader Friday afternoon to cap off a four game home stand. A walk-off home run would win them game one 6-5 and a solid pitching performance and endless hitting earned them the second game 9-1.
